Mike –
Glenn has been fantastic — full of no-nonsense, truly helpful information. More coffees coming from me!
Glenn –
Thanks a lot!
Peter –
I have a question. Is it possible to get one for longer than 30 days? I’ll be in Argentina from October 12 to December 4.
Glenn –
Hi Peter, yes that is possible but you need to upload some money and activate the pack online. Afterward, you can use the SIM card as long as you want.
John Paul –
Can you deliver to an AIr BnB address?
Glenn –
Hi John, yes. Preferably when there is a doorman or a letterbox.
Maria Teresa –
Hola!
Answer in English is no problem.
Thanks in advance
Maria
Glenn –
Glenn –
Sospecho que estarán cerrados.
Pascal –
Hello Glen. So until end of May out of Stock, so from June 18th on should be fine again? Would you also deliver to Palermo near the AEP airport? Or does AEP have sales stands for tourist cards too? Thanks a lot
Glenn –
Hi Pascal, I will have new stock from June 1st. Then the website will update too. I can only deliver in hotels. You can enter a kiosko and ask for a SIM card but the activation is by yourself. And that can take some time.
Mau –
Are you still providing the SMI card service?
Glenn –
Hi Mau, I’m currently out of stock until the end of May.
Stephen –
Hello Glen. Question: if I buy a 30 day prepaid package at the PERSONAL booth at the airport:
1. What will be my total cost?
2. Can I get it for more than 3-4 Gs? If so what’s the upcharge?
3. Can I pay with a credit card?
4. What currency can I use to pay?
5. Will my plan be usable immediately or is there a delay?
Great webpage! Thanks
Glenn –
Hi Stephen, the cost will be around USD 25. This is with 5gb of data. A reload of upcharge is at the same price. You can pay with your credit card at the personal stand in the airport. The currency will be always the official if you pay with your card. The SIM card will be activated with your passport. It can take a hour before you can start to use it. Have a nice trip!
Frano –
Hi
Can i top up my sim card with unlimited internet or if not, what is the biggest internet top up
Glenn –
Hi Frano, it depends on the Provider. Personal goes up to 10gb and Claro till 40gb.
tom –
Is it possible to call and send sms in Argentina with this SIM card?
Glenn –
Hi Tom, the pack includes data and no phone calls or texts. You can always top-up later credit to make phone calls.
Radek –
Hello, is it possible to get the simmcsrd delivered to another town? Specifically Salta?
Thanks for the info
Glenn –
Hi Radek, I can only deliver within the Buenos Aires city limits.
Lindsay Murray –
I will be in Argentina for more than 60 days – what do you suggest?
Glenn –
With prepaid sim cards, you will always need to top up after 30 days. You can do it with the sim cards that I provide or asking for a sim card at the airport 🙂
Lukas –
Works fine. Just convenient to start my holidays in Argentina.
Mirte Borg –
De simkaart werkte perfect gedurende onze reis in Argentinië. Altijd leuk om het thuisfront, van waar dan ook, even op de hoogte te houden. Thanks!
Tobi Sims –
The SIM card was missing when I arrived at the hotel. Prompted response of Glenn and he went to our hotel reception to recover the order. A mistake from the hotel. The SIM card is an only data card. Making normal calls was not possible but there was enough data to call by FaceTime and Whatsapp.
Joss Fischer –
Easy and simple to order. The Argentina SIM card was delivered on time at our hotel in Buenos Aires. Used it for the complete trip (El Calafate, Ushuaia, and Puerto Madryn). Good reception into the cities.
Glenn –
Thank you Joss!
Ingrid van der Steen –
All perfect. Delivered at our hotel in Buenos Aires and ready to go.
Adriana Derksen –
Lovely website and Argentina sim card service was a time-saving option. Received the sim card when checking in at our hotel. Greetings.
Gerrit Desmet –
Floris –
I found this service a week before arrival in Argentina. Delivery at our hotel in Buenos Aires on time. I received the pack at the reception when we checked in. The sim card worked directly. No problems and I had enough data for our 18 days in Argentina. Gracias!
Xander Sattler –
Thanks, Glenn and the team of Secrets of Buenos Aires. The purchase went fast and received not much later a mail to confirm everything. We arrived in Buenos Aires December 27th. The reception of our hotel gave us the envelope with the sim card and sube. Sim card in the phone and ready. Good signal and 3G speed in Buenos Aires. Now we are in El Calafate. Not everywhere there is signal in Patagonia but that’s fine. Actually, even our staff in our hotel in El Calafate told us, big country. Writing now from the 3G connection 😉
Thanks for the service. It saved us time and energy to get a sim card in Argentina.
