There is more than one airline active in the Argentinian air. However, not all these airlines travel to all the destinations. Aerolineas Argentina is known to cover the whole country. From the most southern point to the most northern point where other airlines don’t fly. If you want to fly to Salta or the Iguazu waterfalls? Then there are a lot of options such as LATAM, Flybondi, Andes, Smartjet, …

As far as we know LATAM, Flybondi, Andes, and Smartjet don’t work with residents’ fare and non-residents fare in Argentina.

Flying with Aerolineas Argentina gives you ofter a wider choice of departure times, while LATAM flies only ones a day to a specific destination.

An extra tip: when booking at LATAM, Andes, Flybondi,… check always the local website. (Set the country to Argentina). Sometimes you get other prices for the same flight. Pay with your credit card in Argentinian peso.

There are some options and rules to get the residents fare. Keep in mind: it is a tricky way.

The rules!

1. Always check-in online for your outbound and return flight. Also, print the ticket at home, in your hotel, … Never check-in at the check-in desk at the airport.

2. Only take hand luggage with you. Never check-in hold luggage.

3. If possible, book your ticket with an Argentinian credit or debit card. Ask an Argentinian friend.

Normally the fare is not mentioned on your boarding ticket. When boarding you can show your passport without worries.
