A hidden secret in Retiro but well known under porteños (residents of Buenos Aires). Imagine entering a flower shop, opening a big industrial fridge door, and suddenly you stairs that are guiding you to the basement of the flower shop. I’m talking about “Floreria Atlantico” in Buenos Aires. Floreria Atlantico is located in Retiro near Plaza San Martin.

Before I knew the place, I walked by the flower shop many times. Until some friends made me aware that there is a bar. At first sight, it was strange. Do they sell those flowers or is it just decoration? And where is the bar exactly?

And there was the grey aluminum door at the left-back of the flower shop. The person in the flower shop just pointed to that door and gave the sign that we just needed to open it. And there it was, stairs to a basement.

Immediately I got the right vibe there. A cozy feeling. People talking, soft music in the background. The basement is not that big. I think around 30 persons were seated in Floreria Atlantico.

Bar Floreria Atlantico does serve a wide range of cocktails. Combine it with an appetizer that you can choose from the menu card. It’s a unique experience to visit Floreria Atlantico.
