#1: Doรฑa Tota
At Doรฑa Tota in Palermo, there’s something for everyone. In the mood for Argentine BBQ, while someone else prefers a salad or pasta? Doรฑa Tota offers a wide variety of optionsโfrom delicious tortilla de papas to hearty meat sandwiches, including the famous choripรกn. This restaurant in Palermo is a great place to explore Argentina’s local cuisine. And if you go after 9:00 PM, you’ll be dining alongside the locals! ๐ My recommendation and budget friendly!

#2: Parrilla La Caรฑita
No Fuzz Steakhouse takes you back to the roots of Buenos Aires steakhouses. The dishes are simple, but the focus is on the quality of the meat. After 10:00 PM, it fills up with locals, always a good sign. Be sure to try the provoleta and the tira de asado, both incredibly tasty when I went. If you’re looking for great steak and traditional Argentine cuisine in Palermo, this is the place to be.

#3: Cantina Palermo
Big portions, perfect for sharing. Milanesas, steaks, pasta. On the menu, there is plenty to choose from. The ceiling and walls are covered in football jerseys, making it a dream spot for fรบtbol fans. Tucked inside a sports club in Palermo, itโs got that authentic, no-frills vibe. And hereโs a rare find in Buenos Aires: they serve paella! Try the “flan con dulce de leche” as dessert. The Cantina is of the locals best restaurants in Palermo.

#4: CARNEROS Bar & Fuegos
Looking for an Argentine steakhouse? Then I can honestly recommend Carneros in Palermo near Plaza Italia. Great atmosphere and table service. Try the “parrilla para dos” translated the BBQ for two. You get a mix of tasty meat cuts straight from the grill. On top of that, they have a good wine selection. It is a great alternative to Don Julio, and if you want to have a steak in a steakhouse, locals go to it. If you are looking for more steakhouses in Buenos Aires? Check here my top list of Argentine steakhouses!
By the way, they have good pasta as well!

#5: Bodegon Barcelona Asturias
Bodegon Barcelona Asturias is the perfect spot for lunch, tapas, and dinner. You know that Argentines have dinner at 22:00 (10 PM)? Then a “picada” another word for tapas is a great option if you are feeling hungry around six o’clock in the evening. Also, try the “guiso de lentejas”, that is a traditional Argentine stew you should eat before leaving the country.
Another good place to eat in Palermo, and I recommend everyone who is staying in that area and what to eat like a local.

#6: Bellagamba Bodegรณn Palermo
A go-to spot for lunch and dinner, opening early at 08:00 (8 AM). Bellagamba is one of the most affordable bodegones in Buenos Aires, well known among locals. With several locations across the city, itโs the place for simple, hearty meals and generous portions. It is like stepping into an Argentine home kitchen. Expect classic favorites like milanesas, pasta, meat, and salads at unbeatable prices. It is the perfect restaurant if you are on a budget in Buenos Aires!

#7: La Pescadorita
Buenos Airesโand Argentina in generalโis not all about meat. You can also find delicious fish restaurants, such as La Pescadorita in Palermo, on the edge of the Hollywood and Soho areas. I tried the calamares and white fish, both were very tasty. Itโs one of the best fish restaurants in the city and a must-visit for anyone who loves seafood.

#8: Hierro Parrilla
Now, it’s time for the meat lovers! Head straight to Hierro Parrilla, located on Costa Rica Street in Palermo. In my opinion, it’s one of the top steakhouses in the neighborhood and a parrilla where you’ll find plenty of locals. The meat is, of course, delicious, but the desserts were surprisingly good as well.
As mentioned before, especially at steakhouses, donโt go before 9:00 PM if you want the best cuts. Steakhouses are at their best after that time.
Address: Costa Rica 5602 in Palermo Hollywood
#9: ORNO Cantina
ORNO Cantina is one of the best and nicest places where I’ve had pizza in Buenos Aires. The location is quite special, fully surrounded by glass and greenery. They also have a second floor where you can dine outside near the fireplace. Itโs definitely the place to go for pizza when staying in Palermo Soho. Want to know which are the best pizza places in Buenos Aires? Don’t wait and read it here.
Tip: In Buenos Aires, most pizzas are meant to be shared between two people. However, at ORNO Cantina, each pizza is individually sized for one person.

#10: Sarkis
You can find flavors from all over the world in Buenos Aires, and I wouldnโt blame you if you take a detour from traditional Argentine cuisine to explore something different. One of the best restaurants in Palermo? The Armenian kitchen at Sarkis.
This long-standing favorite in Palermo serves up authentic and flavorful Armenian dishes, from freshly baked lavash and creamy hummus to perfectly grilled kebabs and rich stews.
