Best for: Lovers of dance and choreography who want a classic show: all tango, with a touch of modern tango, theatrical elements and some ballet, in the iconic Café de los Angelitos.
Not for: Children: the setting does not really suit them.

My experience at Café de los Angelitos
I have been to Café de los Angelitos three times, most recently in March 2026. The show takes place in the iconic Café de los Angelitos, one of the historic "bares notables" of Buenos Aires, more than 100 years old. It is a unique place in the city, and the show has been running for years: one of the classic tango shows.
It is all tango, with a touch of modern tango at the end, some theatrical elements and a little ballet. The stage looks small, but seven dancing couples perform flawlessly, joined by two singers and a quintet playing from above. If you love choreography and want to see a more unique tango style, it is well worth it.
The food is good, but sometimes comes out so fast that you notice it comes from a big kitchen; my empanada was a little lukewarm. With dinner & show on the ground floor you have a perfect view, so the standard ticket is plenty. I would not take show only: in high season you are easily seated at the side or against the back wall.
My tip: For anyone who wants to see a classic tango show with beautiful choreography and loves dance and music. Take dinner & show: the standard ticket is plenty.
