My experience at El Viejo Almacén
I have been to El Viejo Almacén six times, most recently in June 2026. It is a family business, and you feel it from the moment you walk in: a personal, warm welcome and small candlelit tables in the old tango bar.
The show is varied and full of surprises, and the choreography changes every six months. The dancers and the live orchestra perform very close to you, there is an impressive folklore part, and the well-known singer Hugo Marcel wins over the whole room, with special attention for birthdays and honeymooners.
Dinner is served in the restaurant just across the corner, a few steps from the tango bar. The food is good; if eating well matters most to you, choose VIP.
My tip: The best choice if you want a cosy candlelit show and also want to see folklore. If good food matters most to you, choose VIP.
