I just got back from the single best evening I had in Buenos Aires, and I need you to know about this before you book anything else.
You walk in, the hosts greet you like family, hand you an ice-cold glass of Argentine sparkling wine, and suddenly you’re on a delicious road trip across the entire country without leaving the table. In one unforgettable night, you go from the spicy northern empanadas to Patagonian fish, shaping your own empanadas (complete with the perfect repulgue crimp) and mixing fresh chimichurri while everyone laughs and swaps travel stories.
Course after course arrives, each paired with a different incredible wine — Torrontés, Malbec, even a mind-blowing orange wine — until the famous beef tasting lands: melting tenderloin with mushroom butter and slow-braised osso buco that made the whole table go silent for a second. Then the dulce de leche dessert parade begins: chocotorta, flan, pancakes, a mate ceremony, and warm alfajores you get to take home.
By late evening, you’re full, happily tipsy, armed with new cooking skills and a handful of new friends from around the world who just shared the best meal of their trip.
Small groups, completely authentic, ridiculous value, and easily the highlight of my entire time in Argentina.
Trust me — cancel whatever else you were thinking about for dinner and book this instead. Your taste buds (and your Instagram) will thank you 😁
