The tango show at Señor Tango captivated my attention from start to finish. The performance features live horses on stage (which can be appealing or not, depending on your views about animals in shows), dramatic lighting, and a live orchestra. The dancers are exceptional, blending classic tango with a more theatrical style, and the lead singer delivers a powerful performance. At times, the show even evoked a Cirque du Soleil-like ambiance. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

My experience at Señor Tango
Señor Tango is all about the big show. The venue is one of the largest tango venues in Buenos Aires and is nicely decorated. When you first walk in, it feels like you’re stepping into Caminito in La Boca, a nice effect, but let’s be honest, I came for the show.
And they go all out. Live horses on stage (which can be nice or not, depending on how you feel about animals in shows), dramatic lighting, and a full orchestra. The dancers are great, mixing classic tango with a more theatrical style, and the lead singer definitely gives it his all (though at times, there’s more singing than dancing). It’s Vegas/Broadway-level talent.
Seating is set up like a dinner show, with different ticket levels. Most seats have a decent view, but if you’re further back, you might feel a bit removed from the action. The food was good—the steak was big and cooked just how I wanted.
Seating is at shared tables for both the “only show” and “dinner and show standard” options. If you want a private table, you must go for the VIP option.
Because it’s one of the largest venues, with lots of people, the space can actually feel crowded and a bit small at times. If you’re after a small, intimate tango experience, this isn’t it. But if you want a flashy, over-the-top show with lots of energy, Señor Tango delivers.
