My experience at Madero Tango
I have been to Madero Tango three times, most recently in November 2025. It is a big, theatrical show: behind the stage there is a huge video wall, and they use its effects really well. With tango, folklore and singing, and a live orchestra, the show is well put together.
A central character links all the tango performances into a kind of story. He speaks Spanish, so without Spanish you will not understand him, but that does not stop it from being impressive. The location is beautiful, and on New Year's Eve you see the fireworks over Puerto Madero.
It is a big room for 250 to 300 people, busy and noisy with many tourists, and the tables are close together: below VIP you share a table. The standard food is average and was not the same each time, and the waiters are very busy. With VIP you get a private table and much more choice. For me, the show only is more than enough.
My tip: The show only is more than enough; if you want to eat, choose VIP. If you are in Puerto Madero anyway, dinner & show is handy. Book in time: it is often sold out.

- Hotel shuttle: Add the round-trip hotel shuttle when you book. You are picked up in your hotel lobby within a 30-minute window. Pick-up times: 19:00–19:30 in the city centre and Palermo. Areas: Recoleta, San Telmo, Retiro, Monserrat, Puerto Madero, San Nicolás, Palermo and the cruise terminal. You can book it until 12 hours before the start.

Yes, it is a fantastic show, but there are better tango shows. It is very busy and often sold out, so book in time.
